Highlighted improvements of the ALDI Nord Group of Companies in 2021

In 2021, we achieved great progress in our sustainability commitment once again. Selected highlights in 2021 were:

 

Around

82 %

of cotton used in own-brand products was sustainably certified. An increase of 17.9 percentage points compared to 2020.

More than

1370

products with the EU organic logo were available in our stores in 2021.

872

products were labelled either vegetarian and/or vegan. That is an increase of 27.5% compared to 2020.

We achieved an

89 %

increase of the photovoltaic area on the roofs of the ALDI Nord Group of Companies compared to 2020.

We reached

48 %

reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2015. With this reduction we have achieved our climate target.

An

percentage points increase in the number of meat-containing products labelled with the ATC was achieved in the year under review.
